Visit & Volunteer

There are several opportunities for you to engage with and support the Friends of the Ohio Governor’s Residence and Heritage Garden.

Visit

Many people visit the Ohio Governor’s Residence and Heritage Garden each year through guided tours, volunteer opportunities, state dinners, receptions, and other events. Although the Residence is a private home for the current Governor and family, it also offers visitors many opportunities to discover more about Ohio’s history, arts, architecture and industry, as well as the natural spaces and landscapes in Ohio.

The Friends of the Ohio Governor’s Residence and Heritage Garden invites you to tour this historic home in Bexley, Ohio. Tours are held most Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 1:30 p.m. throughout the year, with special hours in December.

Volunteer

The volunteers who support the Friends of the Ohio Governor’s Residence and Heritage Garden are an integral part of the efforts to preserve the history of the property. Volunteers can lead tours of the Residence and Heritage Garden or join the Governor’s Gardeners program. The Governor’s Gardeners work in the Heritage Garden on Wednesdays from May to October.
