The Lakeside Daisy is blooming!

The state endangered Lakeside Daisy (Tetraneuris herbacea) is blooming in the Heritage Garden. Lakeside Daisies can be found growing on Marblehead Peninsula on Lake Erie. The area has very thin soils and exposed expanses of limestone. It is a harsh environment with unique plant communities. The daisies bloom in late April to mid-May. ~Diana Morse
